Preperation - Before you start packingHave a clear out
Make moving easier by disposing of furniture and goods you no longer need before packing. This means you are not moving items that you will throw out when you move into your new property.
Look for furniture recycling charities in the Yellow Pages, they will usually collect items for free at a time to suit you. Also make use of the local tip which will be able to correctly dispose of electrical goods such as washing machines, fridges, televisions and microwaves. Shoes, books, bottles, clothing, and newspapers can be recycled at your local recycling centre. Use the Recycle Now website to find your recycling facilities near you.
