Norwich
Norwich is situated in East Anglia on the East coast of England and has a population of approximately 367,000 people. The city can be easily accessed from London and the South via the M11, A11, A12 and A140 motorways and the North and West via the A14, A47, A1/M1 motorways.
Norwich is the county city of Norfolk and is renowned for its well preserved medieval architecture. The city is also a highly popular shopping destination in the UK. Indeed, major employers such as Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, House of Fraser and Debenhams can be found in Norwich's flourishing retail sector. Furthermore, the industry is awash with successful independent retailers many of whom are located in the city's two main shopping centres, Chapelfield and The Mall Norwich. In addition to these, Riverside Retail features large department stores such as Argos, Next and Mamas & Papas.
Another major industry in and around Norwich is tourism, not least because of the 303 square kilometres of The Norfolk Broads which regularly attracts holidaymakers in search of the quiet life. Whilst many tourists stay on barges, others will find the Broad House Hotel a perfect stay in a beautiful land. Aside from nature, Norwich offers some truly stunning architecture. Norwich Cathedral, for instance, dominates the landscape with the second tallest spire in the UK. The Castle, built in 1067 by William the Conqueror, is another popular destination and now includes a museum and art gallery.
Norwich can be aptly summed up by anybody walking through its medieval, cobbled streets ? beautiful, peaceful, historically important and yet brimming with life and retail opportunities!
